Abdominoplasty Recovery – Miami Tummy Tuck

Posted December 13, 2013 in Plastic Surgery

Abdominoplasty Recovery

When a patient considers a tummy tuck, they must think about their goals, preferences, preparation tasks, the plastic surgeon they want to perform the operation, and more. One of the key things to consider is what you should do to make the abdominoplasty recovery process as simple and short as possible.

Typically, the internal abdominoplasty recovery process can take up to two weeks. For the first week, avoid standing upright, as this can affect tissue healing. Once it no longer feels painful or uncomfortable, you will once again be able to stand fully upright.

For more information about post-operative care and the abdominoplasty recovery process, contact our office to set up a visit with a qualified plastic surgeon. Dr. Daniel Careaga, a board-certified plastic surgeon serving the Miami area, will instruct you about what to do during your downtime.
