Combining a Facelift with a Rhinoplasty?

Hi, It’s Dr. Paul Durand here in Careaga Plastic Surgery in Miami, Florida. I want to talk to you a little bit about combining a facelift or facial rejuvenation with rhinoplasty or nose surgery. Most people think about, obviously, facelifts and neck lifts when it comes to facial rejuvenation, but they don’t really tie together a well performed rhinoplasty with really making you look rejuvenated or younger.

Nasal anatomy changes a little bit as we age, particularly the quality of the tissues. Your cartilage becomes a little bit weaker, a little bit larger. Really. Our nasal tip starts to droop and people start noticing that at a certain age. So really, combining these two procedures, a rhinoplasty and facial rejuvenation procedures such as a facelift, makes a really, really big difference and can work together very well.

So in the right patient, it can be a great surgery and it’s something you need to discuss with your surgeon to see what’s the best option for you.
