Who Is Carolina Sandoval?
Carolina Sandoval (also known as La Venenosa or “the venomous one”) is a multi-hyphenate entertainer originally from Venezuela. She moved to Miami in 2001, where she has appeared in and co-hosted several broadcasts for Univision, CaribeVisión, and TeleFutura.
Beginning in 2013, Carolina was on the panel of commentators for the Telemundo daytime entertainment show Suelta la Sopa. Carolina is currently a panelist on Univision’s hit program, Siéntese Quien Pueda, adding her perspective and quick wit to the popular entertainment talk show. Siéntese Quien Pueda blends celebrity news, gossip, current events, and lively panel debates—a perfect fit for Carolina’s engaging personality.
Carolina is wildly popular on social media, boasting over 13 million followers across multiple platforms. Fans love her because of her authenticity, her willingness to share the genuine ups and downs of life, and her messages of positivity, self-worth, and not relying on what other people may think of you.
Why Did Carolina First Choose to Get Breast Implants?
Carolina explained that her decision to get breast implants over 30 years ago was because of a comment a man made about her body: “He said, ‘Having a girlfriend with no breasts is like dating your best friend.’ When I decided to get my first implants, Pamela Anderson and Baywatch were all the rage. You’d picture yourself coming out of the ocean with implants that everyone would stare at. I was a wall with nipples.” That offhand comment stuck with Carolina, and she sought out breast augmentation. “Imagine a 22-year-old girl making a permanent decision based on a passing comment from a stranger. If that’s your situation, don’t ever do it because of a stranger. Don’t do it based on someone else’s judgment. Don’t let yourself be influenced by fashion, trends, actresses, singers, or viral views. That was my mistake—but it’s okay, because we learn from our mistakes. And today I’m here for you, to share how my story unfolded.”
Her first breast augmentation in Venezuela was very successful, and she went back a few years later to upgrade to larger implants. “At that point, yes, I looked just like Pamela Anderson. Exactly like her.”
Why Did Carolina Want to Exchange Her Breast Implants?
Carolina, a 51-year-old mother of two daughters, recently lost over 40 pounds. In doing so, she noticed that her breast implants no longer looked the same as they once did. On her Instagram reels, she talks about how the natural aging process and her recent weight loss caused her breasts to change. “So the drooping and gravity made my breasts look natural. No one could believe I had implants after all that time.” However, she said, “My breasts needed to match my new physique.”
It was an excellent time for Carolina to undergo a breast implant exchange combined with a breast lift. Her implants were more than 10 years old, she wanted to go down in size, and she wanted to address sagging to restore a youthful perkiness to her figure.
Why Carolina Chose Dr. Careaga for Her Breast Procedures
Once she decided to undergo breast revision, she visited Dr. Daniel Careaga for a consultation. “I chose Dr. Careaga here in Miami. I liked what he explained to me. I liked how I felt. We decided to go with smaller implants. We decided on a lift.” Carolina emphasizes exactly what prospective patients need to hear about the plastic surgeon they choose. Your plastic surgeon should be knowledgeable and patient as they give you details about your procedure and answer your questions, while making you feel comfortable with them and with your decision.
Dr. Careaga and Carolina connected, and she selected him for her procedure. “What I liked was that he wasn’t going to touch me until I was truly sure. It’s very important that you are the one to give the go-ahead to a doctor when you’re convinced that it’s the right time for a procedure. That’s why I decided to get smaller, high-tech implants with the best doctor I could choose, right here where I live.”

Carolina was ready for her surgery with Dr. Careaga. “For a long time, I’ve had this size—36D, exactly 36D. I’ve had these implants for 17 years, and now I’m going through a radical change in my life. I thank God for guiding me. I never had a reason before to have this surgery done again, but now the time has come. They need to be replaced.”
Dr. Careaga removed her old implants, replaced them with new, smaller implants, and performed a breast lift. In her own words, she went “from melons to peaches.”
However, sharing her life on social media also came with unsolicited opinions on how she was handling her recovery. At her two-week follow-up appointment with Dr. Careaga, she reported feeling good but had questions about whether he thought she was overexerting herself. “I haven’t been lifting my arms. I’ve been showering, flying, driving—but nothing too intense.” Dr. Careaga replied, “You can start lifting your arms now—we’re at the two-week mark. So there aren’t as many restrictions as in the beginning. You can raise your arms and lift up to about 10 pounds.” Carolina expressed how people were commenting on her videos. “When people see me recovering and looking so good, they say I’m being irresponsible—like doing little TikTok dances. ‘Your incision is going to open,’ they say. ‘You’ll have a setback.’ What do we say to all those people who think they know more than you, the doctor?”
Dr Careaga assured her she was doing everything right, reiterating what he tells his patients after breast revision surgery. “There are definitely restrictions after breast surgery. What we want to avoid is too much implant movement while the space is healing. For example, a small blood vessel could reopen and cause bleeding. That might lead to a complication requiring a return to the operating room. But that doesn’t mean a person has to be paralyzed or stuck at home doing nothing. Light movement is fine. What we want to avoid is bouncing, impact, or heavy lifting—anything that could cause issues. No raising heavy weights or lifting arms above the head, especially early on.” With that, Carolina was reassured, and Dr. Careaga continued the exam, telling her she’d need to return in two weeks.

“I was shocked—in the best way. I was like, seriously? Is this real?” Carolina says of the progress of her results. “How beautiful is this work, Dr. Careaga?” She was especially thrilled about the lack of visible scars. “It’s only been a month since surgery. But look, the work is so spectacular where the doctor cut…this doctor has such skilled hands, I actually had to ask him, ‘Where did you cut? Here? There?’ It just looks like a faint shadow with a little makeup and good healing—and no sun.” Staying out of the sun is essential after any procedure involving an incision and scar, as the sun can cause the scar to darken and become more noticeable.

Carolina has a message for anyone considering breast augmentation or implant revision. “Let me tell you something—if you have implants and you don’t like them, you can take them out. There are many people who have gotten implants and feel wonderful and perfect. But if you’re going to choose to get them, you need to do it for you, not because your boyfriend likes it, or because small or large ones are in style. Not for anyone else.” She’s thrilled with her results from Dr. Careaga, so what’s the bottom line? “Let me tell you something,” Carolina says, “I feel amazing.”
